Beginning the 1st Sunday of Advent (this coming Sunday) we will be inviting the youngest members of our congregation to share a special age appropriate time learning about the Sunday Scripture. Father Nick will call the children (and interested parents) forward immediately following the opening prayer. He will bless them, hand a volunteer candle bearer an electric candle and ask another

On Sunday, November 30, after the 10 am service, the church will be decorated for Christmas. Please consider giving a hand getting this done. Many hands make light work.
We are fortunate to be partnering with the Grand Island Neighbors Foundation this holiday season. They need frozen turkeys, and we like collecting them! We currently have 2 freezers at the church for your convenience. Turkeys and turkey breasts can be brought in on Sunday mornings. They will be distributed to Grand Island families as part of the Neighbors Foundation Annual Holiday Distribution.
Each year, St. Martin’s works with the Social Workers in the Grand Island elementary schools to identify families that need a little extra Christmas cheer. Members of our congregation share their good fortune by purchasing specific Christmas gifts that the families have identified on their wish list. Help create an extra special Christmas by choosing an ornament from the tree in the hallway
