Soup for the Soul
The Women’s LIFT Group is pleased to announce the initiation of a new ministry, Soup for the Soul. Starting in February, it is the LIFT Group’s goal to provide our church community members a bowl of homemade soup and bread sometime following a medical procedure, birth of a child, death of a loved one, or at various intervals battling a long term illness. Who won’t like a bowl of homemade soup to warm your soul?
In order for this ministry to be successful, the LIFT Group is humbly requesting your assistance!! There will be multiple ways that you can help!! For starters we are asking our church family to volunteer to join our list of soup makers. Currently, soup makers are working hard to stock pile our new freezer, located in the nursery, that was donated by a generous anonymous donor!! The LIFT Group gives a huge THANK YOU!! As the soup inventory is depleted, we will need soup makers to replenish our supplies. Containers and labels will be provided. Second, we need volunteers who would be willing to deliver soup and bread to a member of our church community who needs our support. Again the soup and bread will be stored in the freezer for easy pickup. Thirdly, we need monetary donations for purchasing rolls, containers, labels, and cards. Lastly, if you know of anyone in our church community who needs our support or if you are interested in supporting this wonderful ministry please reach out to the below contacts. Only with your help and support will this ministry be successful!!
