Epiphany Baby Gifts for Family Justice Center - January 7
Right after the twelve days of Christmas, we will celebrate the Feast of the Epiphany on January 6. On this day, we commemorate the visit of the Three Wise Men to worship the baby Jesus. They brought elaborate gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh to honor the blessed child.
Once again this year, the LIFT group is inviting you to join in a collection of gifts for babies in our community. We will be gathering diapers (larger sizes needed) and wipes during the 8am and 10am services on Sunday, January 7. All the items we collect will be donated to those in need at the Family Justice Center.
In Matthew’s gospel, Jesus tells us, “Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” While gold, frankincense and myrrh are gifts fit for a king, these baby gifts will truly help the youngest victims of domestic violence in our community.
